Reflection on the quote:
Assef says this line when Hassan refuses to give him Amir's kite. Hassan knew that Assef was going to hurt him in some way , but as he is truly a loyal friend to Amir , he will sacrifice himself in order to show this. This situation demonstrates that loyalty does involve sacrifice. Hassan is willing to sacrifice himself in order to be a loyal friend. Reflection on the video: This video demonstrate that dog's are truly loyal. Right away you notice that the dog does what his owner tells him to even if he doesn't want to. " I tested the string the way Hassan and I used to"
|
Reflection on the quote:
This is something that Amir says towards the end of the book. He does something that he remembers doing with Hassan, flying kites. This demonstrates that Amir is loyal to something that he loves , flying kites. This could be hard for Amir , as he could be remember how Hassan, an old friend is no longer alive, and that he will have to start a new kite flying journey with Soraya. This involves sacrifice because Amir must sacrifice his old ways of flying kites with his old friend, and begin again without him. Reflection on the video: This video is like a flashback that Amir could have during his time of sacrifice. It is a video of himself and Hassan flying kites together when they were younger. Because of these types of flashbacks , it could make it difficult for Amir to begin his new journey without Hassan. |
